We use advanced hardware and software to create DVDs that can include anything that the DVD format supports. Below is a non-exhaustive list of some of the features we can offer.
- Full motion menus
- Both 4:3 and 16:9 (wide-screen) ratios supported.
- Full chapter index with scene selection sub-menu.
- Dolby Digital audio encoding with up to 5.1 channels of surround sound.
- 'Stories', enabling playback of preset sequences of any number chapters in any order, selected from any menu item.
- Multiple subtitle tracks.
- Multiple audio and video tracks.
What cannot be described in the confinements of a list however, is the artistic and creative sense of aesthetics we bring to our work. We do however, always prioritize usability and create interfaces that can be navigated quickly and intuitively.
Case Study
Mike Wye & Associates Venetian Plastering DVD
We were commissioned to produce a second training film for Mike Wye & Associates, this included creating a suitable DVD menu to introduce the film and provide a means to navigate the chapter selection menus and special features. The DVD menu is fully animated and features floating examples from the film over a 'schematic' type interface. Each menu change features an animated transition.
