At last I've got round to rebuilding QuickTime Check, my Pepper for Mint. QuickTime Check 2 address all the issues that the older version had and adds some new features. You can now choose to view all data or just Mac results or just PC results. It also now records what version of QuickTime is installed. You can customize the display of the results in the preferences by defining boundaries for the pepper to group its results by. The default preferences will display all versions of QuickTime 5.x, QuickTime 6.x and display 7.0, 7.1 and 7.2 independently.

The versions are only saved to one decimal place, the third digit is ignored. The preferences must only use single decimal version number, i.e 6.5 and not 6.5.3.

Know issues: The version recorded by Internet Explorer 6 and 7 will be 7.0 even if newer versions are present, this is probably the case for 6.0 as well. Other browsers on Windows will save the correct version fine.
