Platypus Features:

  • Clients - add as many clients as you like. Each one can be opened, navigated, closed or permanently deleted.
  • Tasks - create any number of tasks for each Client.
  • Live time tracking or fixed cost - Tasks can be used to track time with a simple toggle timer or can be assigned a fixed cost, for example for 'parts' or a quote.
  • Invoice - Set your rate and currency once. Then create an invoice for any Client, for all their tasks. Time will automatically be rounded to the interval you choose and fixed cost items will be added in to the total. Invoices can be live-edited and then can be emailed or printed right from the browser window.
  • Access Anywhere - Platypus is web-based; you can access your account from anywhere. It's great if you work from multiple locations. It doesn't have to be open for timers to be recording either.

Costs and payment

Platypus is almost free at just $5/month! Payment is all handled through PayPal but you can start using Platypus as soon as you sign up. After 3 days you'll need to start a subscription through PayPal but you still won't pay anything for a further month. Of course you can cancel at any time in that first month and not pay a thing.
